How quickly will I see results?
The tannin works from the first wash, but what has already built up takes a few days to clear. Give it two weeks, then ask someone close to you.
How long does one bar last?
About a month with daily use. Let it drain and dry between showers — a bar left sitting in water disappears far faster.
Will it dry out my skin?
It is built on an olive oil base for mature skin. Tannin is astringent, so the finish is clean and matte rather than slippery.
Why is it more expensive than regular soap?
The persimmon tannin is the expensive part, and it is the part that does the work. Supermarket soap is soap plus fragrance, made by the pallet.
Why ordinary soap misses it
From around 40 the skin produces more 2-nonenal, an oil-soluble compound. Soap and deodorant do not reach it. Persimmon tannin binds it instead of covering it with fragrance.
